New Parkinson's Boxercise at BXGFIT by Places Leisure 

Starting Tuesday 4th June, 1.15pm - 2.00pm

We are introducing a new Parkinson's Boxercise class that incorporates boxing-based movements to improve strength, balance & co-ordination. Designed for people recently diagnosed with Parkinson's, or those with early moderate stage Parkinson's.

Research has found that group-based boxing sessions incorporating adaptable and varied exercises, and opportunities for social interaction can be beneficial to those with Parkinson's

Price:

Non-members: £3.50

Members: Free

 

Class details:

This session is suitable for all fitness levels and is led by a qualified boxercise instructor with specialist knowledge of Parkinson’s. 

The class is 45 minutes and includes a warm up and a cool down and incorporates non-contact boxing movements. To create an inclusive environment, exercises will be adapted to accommodate individual needs

There is a small seating area for partners & carers to watch the session and relax

 

Additional details & parking: 

The venue has a lift and has several parking options nearby. Rose Street Car Park, which has 4 disabled bays and costs £1.30 per hour, or £2.50 for 2 hours
