Indoor pools

Open all year round, our indoor pools provide a fun, inclusive, and positive environment for beginners, casual users, and experienced swimmers to stay healthy and keep active.

Lidos & outdoor pools
One of the best things about swimming at Places Leisure is that we have pools to enjoy during every season!
For the warmer months, our lidos are the perfect place to embrace outdoor swimming. Lidos and outdoor pools across the UK have seen a revival in recent years, encouraging more generations to enjoy swimming outdoors. There’s nothing quite like cooling down in a sparkling body of water when the sun comes out!
Swim, splash, or sit back and soak up a warm summer’s day in our outdoor pools at Aldershot Lido and Tooting Bec Lido and outdoor pool areas at The Triangle and The Pavilions In The Park.

Swimming lessons
Our swimming lessons incorporate care, confidence, and competence, with the additional benefit of learning a lifesaving skill. Dedicated, fully qualified instructors are here to guide you in the pool, whether that’s in a group session or one-on-one. People of any age and ability are welcome!
We’re proud to follow the Learn to Swim Framework from Swim England, and our free Course Hub allows you to track progress against key competencies and stages. We offer a range of different lessons, including:

Swimming sessions
If you’re looking for some quiet time, want to try out training in our pools, or you’re looking for something new to do with the family, our range of sessions have got you covered:
Just Swim: The clue is in the name – take a relaxing dip and just swim with us at your own pace! It’s ideal if you’re just getting used to swimming, or just want to enjoy your time in the water.
Lane Swim: This is a swimming session structured with individual training lanes to keep you on the path to success! With fast, medium, and slow-paced lanes, it allows all swimmers to go at their own speed. Adult Only Lane Swimming sessions are also available.

Disability Swim: Calm, quiet pool time dedicated to swimmers with a disability and their supporters that helps build a relationship with the water.
Family Fun: Swimming should be exciting for the whole family, that’s why our Family Fun sessions make a fantastic day out! Take the plunge and make a splash as you all spend quality time together.
Inflatable Swimming: Feeling brave? Take on the challenge of the aquatic obstacle course in our Inflatable Swimming sessions, which offer another fun way to enjoy the water!
Fun Splash and Slide: Complete with flumes, rapids, and interactive features, these sessions are a great way for children to be introduced to the pleasures of the pool!
Aqua classes
Rule the pool with our Aqua Fit, Aqua Jog, and Aqua Zumba classes!
The music, instructors, and upbeat energy of the classes come together to create a fun and sociable atmosphere for all pool abilities and age ranges.
With classes ranging from gentle to high impact intensity levels, aqua classes are great in enabling you to improve strength and fitness while enjoying the support of the water.

Enjoying some well-deserved rest and relaxation is a must in your post-swim routine – get ready to let off some steam!
Relax, rejuvenate, refresh and repeat as you soothe tired muscles on one of our heated loungers, relieve stress in our sauna and steam rooms, and take some “me time” in our salt rooms.

Swimming etiquette
Now that you know what our pools provide, here’s everything you should keep in mind before you visit us!
- Shower thoroughly before and after entering the pool
- Use toilet facilities before your swim
- Ensure babies and toddlers wear tight-fitting waterproof trunks while swimming instead of nappies
- Don’t swim if you feel unwell
- Ensure that hair is tied up or a swimming hat is worn
- Adults are recommended to wear swimming costumes, swimming trunks/shorts, tankinis/full coverage bikinis, burkinis, wetsuit-style costumes, close fitting long/short sleeved tops, or close-fitting leggings
- Young children are recommended to wear swimming costumes, swimming trunks/shorts, tankinis/full coverage bikinis, knee/elbow length suits, or neoprene float jackets
Sessions, classes, lessons, and facilities vary by centre. Children under 8 must be supervised in the water and changing rooms by their parent or adult (16+). A maximum of 2 children is permitted per parent/adult. Set up time is included within swimming session times. Age/height restrictions and supervision ratios apply to flumes.
